The courthouse was built by architect Auguste Cadet in 1952. The interiors were richly decorated in the Moorish style - many stone and wood carvings, delicate patterns on slender columns, and a beautiful interior courtyard.

The Pasha's Mahkama, as a tourist attraction, is a great place to stop and take some photos, as the building boasts impressive architecture. Apparently, construction of the Pasha's Mahkama began in 1948 and was completed in 1952. The building's name can be loosely translated as "Pacha's Courthouse," which is fitting given the building's function.

The ceiling is made of carved cedar wood, which blends perfectly with the chiseled stucco and polychrome mosaics that decorate the interior. The building is also sometimes referred to as the "Prefecture of Habous," and it's well worth a visit, even if only from the outside.
