A great Arab-Andalusian musical heritage reigns in the Habous district

The Dar Al Ala Museum is located in the picturesque Habous district of Casablanca. It is an ancient structure that has been restored and transformed into a museum. Dar Ala and its musical ensemble have an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the preservation and sustainability of this Arab-Andalusian musical heritage.

Three decades dedicated to the promotion of Andalusian music

It is worth noting that the Association of Andalusian Music Lovers has been working to promote this music for over three decades, and this promotion is a component of the construction of Dar Al Ala. This is a true gem, and it includes, among other things, a tiny museum dedicated to Andalusian music, including a library, a media library, and an exhibition space containing instruments and manuscripts. In addition to evenings, meetings and debates, as well as other events related to sacred music, are constantly organized.

The Habous district is an authentic architectural site that showcases the city's well-considered traditional architecture.

It was not only to be a unified space with integrated but varied activities, but also to reflect the architectural character of the Habous district, renowned for its traditional Moroccan architecture.

It is worth noting that Dar Al Ala has introduced a new note of excitement and brightness in the Habous district, known for its authentic architecture, its original and narrow streets, its large residences and its large historical administrative and religious buildings, since its creation.
