Built in 1912, the Casablanca-Anfa racecourse is the oldest racecourse in Morocco, predating the promulgation of the first royal decree on horse racing in Morocco in 1914 by two years. Situated on an area of 20 hectares in the luxurious Colline d'Anfa district, this racecourse was created in a prestigious setting that hosted the famous Casablanca Conference in 1943. Equipped with modern facilities, the Anfa racecourse includes a covered grandstand with a capacity of 700 spectators and a 1,700-meter sand track. It hosts 39 race meetings each year, attracting a large and enthusiastic audience. Managed by the Société des Courses Hippiques de Casablanca, it represents a symbol of Morocco's ongoing efforts to renovate and update its horse racing infrastructure, under the auspices of the Société Royale d'Encouragement du Cheval.
