Originally a small fishing village, Oualidia developed into a charming seaside town around an exceptional lagoon. All the natural conditions were there for successful oyster farming, and oyster beds and other molluscs, such as mussels and clams, were created there in the 1950s and have since supplied the markets and best restaurants throughout Morocco.
The Ostrea II Restaurant is located at oyster park number 7. It serves cuisine based on seafood, and the restaurant has its own organic vegetable garden. It seats 60 on the terrace and 20 inside. Stopping in Oualidia to taste oysters and seafood is a must when you're in the region!
