• Festive Communion: For seven days, the Amgharyine chorfa and the inhabitants of the region pitch their tents around the sanctuary, expressing their joy and happiness in a festive communion.
A CITY OF TENTS:
Today, no fewer than 500,000 people gather each year, forming an immense mehala, a tent city similar to a nomadic town, on the outskirts of the city.
VARIOUS ACTIVITIES:
Visitors take part in a rich program of religious and secular festivities, including the must-see fantasias featuring over 3,600 horsemen. Shows, games, sharpening demonstrations, and a multitude of other activities punctuate this week of celebration.
