Located 80 km from El Jadida, the Boulaoune Kasbah is a fascinating historical site built by Moulay Ismail around 1710 on a rocky hill overlooking the valley of the Oued Oum er Rbia. Although the kasbah is in ruins, it offers a splendid view and allows visitors to discover the military architecture of the period. It still has frescoes on the walls, an imposing square tower, ancient rooms, and possibly the remains of a hammam.
Before arriving, you'll walk through a eucalyptus forest, and at the entrance, a local caretaker watches over the site. A small donation is appreciated after the visit.
